Finished Saddle   Finished Wood Saddle
Item # 010...................................................................$95.00

These saddles are top quality and well engineered to provide optimum performance while keeping weight and cost to a minimum. They feature oak cross bucks that are tipped outward at the top to provide a wider platform for top load.  By making them wider they also keep the top of the panniers from squeezing in. The side boards are made from split resistant, light weight poplar. They are carefully handcrafted with a full bevel on the top and bottom as well as front and rear. Don't settle for "flat" sideboards on your naturally contoured goat. The top and bottom bevel allow these saddles to fit a wide variety of goats from young narrow goats to wider full size goats. The bevel on the front and rear allows for clearance on the shoulder blade and hip bone. This saddle fits goats from 125 pounds and up.  The straps are a thick supple nylon designed to replace costly leather. They will not rub your animal like the cheap thin straps offered by others. Nylon is impervious to the elements and doesn't entice goats and rodents to chew them like leather. Fully adjustable buckles allow them to fit all goats of packable size. The girth strap is 2" wide and fully padded with a spring loaded positive lock buckle for infinite adjustability for the perfect fit on every goat. Topped off with all rust resistant hardware.

Item # 011...................................................................$64.00

This is the best saddle for the money you will find anywhere.  Designed exactly like the finished saddle above, they feature oak cross bucks and split resistant, light weight poplar side boards. As stated above, the side boards are carefully handcrafted with a full bevel on the top and bottom as well as front and rear. Don't settle for "flat" sideboards on your naturally contoured goat.  You reap the cost savings when you invest the labor necessary to sand and finish the wood.  They arrive loosely assembled with all strapping, hardware and complete instructions. If you can use sandpaper and operate a screw driver then you can handle this kit.

"Custom Fit"
(Aluminum Composite) (Patent #6530195)
Item#015............................................$179.00 ( Pad included ! )

This is the ultimate saddle. State of the art resin sideboards are molded to perfectly match the contours of a goat by using actual goats to make the pattern. They are attached to fully adjustable, machined aluminum cross-bucks that are anodized for a lifetime of packing. The saddle is completely adjustable, allowing for simple width and angle adjustments for a truly custom fit on any goat. This saddle is virtually indestructible and completely weather resistant. An innovative pocket on the saddle pad houses the sideboards and provides a sleek finished look. We believe that this is the best fitting saddle made.

Mountain Straps

are availabe for hard core packers. This design provides more stability of the saddle in steep mountain terrain. Girth and rump straps come off of a 2" ring set lower on the saddle to help them stay in place. Rump strap is stabalized with an adjustable britchen system and includes 5/8" pad. Girth can be either the clamp buckle style or nylon webbing using a traditional horse "cinch" knot.
